Situated just half an hour from the centre of Edinburgh and yet enjoying all the peace and quiet you could wish for, Mountskip Holiday Lodges are perfectly set up for a relaxing, stress free stay. They are ideal for a romantic Scottish getaway, a quiet break in the countryside, or a more active family holiday.
The holiday lodges at Mountskip are a new venture and are located next to Mountskip Livery among the green fields of the Lothian hills. Purpose built to a high specification, they have everything you need for a self-catering holiday in tranquil and scenic surroundings, while also being close to enough attractions to keep you busy all week if you wish.
Gorebridge
The closest town to Mountskip is Gorebridge, a delightful former mining settlement that became a popular holiday destination in the Victorian era, when people first started to escape the cities for a holiday in the countryside and a look at some beautiful scenery. As, of course, many still do today! The local station at Gorebridge reopened in 2015 as part of the new Borders Railway project and connects to Edinburgh Waverley in 25 minutes.
